Steelers' James Harrison Doesn't Understand Concussions... At All

DeSean Jackson wasn't the only player to fall victim to an illegal above the shoulders hit on Sunday... Steelers' LB James Harrison dished out a few hits to the heads of some Cleveland Browns. Although, unlike Dunta Robinson's hit on Jackson, Harrison was never flagged for either hit.

What's maybe even more concerning than these shots to the head, is how little Harrison understands the possible implications of such hits.

"You hate to see anyone down like that, but then you realize he just went to sleep for a little bit and he came out of it and he's going to be OK. That's football," Harrison said, shrugging.

Is he joking or just plain stupid? Of all the odd things I've heard NFL players say, this one ranks right up there. These guys didn't just to "go to sleep for a little bit," they likely suffered concussions that could have severe long term affects on their brain health. Someone needs to seriously educate James Harrison quickly, maybe the NFL can even give him a week off to learn.
