Placido Polanco will have elbow surgery to remove bone chips and repair an injured tendon. The Elbow has bothered Polanco most of the season after he was hit by a pitch from the Braves’ Tim Hudson.
↵Reuben Amaro said the recovery time for a surgery like this is typically 8-10 weeks, so Placido should be ready to go by the time Spring Training rolls around.
