Phils, Eagles, Sixers, Flyers... are you 4 for 4?
The Prediction Machine was built by statistician Paul Beshire to simulate NFL games in order to predict their outcome. Actually, they simulate the game 50,000 times to account for all possible outcomes/injuries/anomalies.
After simulating the entire 2010 Eagles season, which means they ran 800,000 simulations, the machine has the Eagles winning 9.3 games.
After simming this weekend’s opener, the prediction machine gives the Eagles a 52% chance of winning with score predicted as a near tie with the Eagles edging the Packers 20.4 to 19.7

That’s right about on line with what I expect.
57% to make the playoffs (32% for the division, 25% for the WC) with 6% chance to win the SB.
