Temple Vs. Ohio Score: Owls Trail The Bobcats 7-0 End Of First Quarter

The Temple Owls flew into Peden Stadium tonight (Nov. 2, 2011) in Athens, Ohio, to take on the Bobcats in prime time in a game with Mid-American conference (MAC) title implications on the line.

At the end of the first quarter, Ohio leads Temple by a score of 7-0.

The Bobcats drew first blood during the opening drive, thanks largely in part to a 33-yard run by Ohio running back Donte Harden. Just one play later and Tyler Tettleton went to the air, again finding Harden for 25 yards and the first touchdown of the game.

Matt Weller split the uprights to make it seven-zip.

The big story of the opening quarter is Temple’s inability to move the football, and racking up five yard penalties when you can’t get your team downfield takes a bad situation and makes it worse.

The Owls are going to have to make some plays or continue with a stingy defense coming into the second quarter.

Stay tuned.
