The Temple Owls flew into Lincoln Financial Field on Wednesday night in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to host the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks in a critical Mid-American Conference match-up live on ESPN.
Temple defeated Miami (Ohio) by a final score of 24-21.
The Owls had a ten point lead coming out of halftime; however, the Redhawks pulled within three when Zac Dysert found Chris Givens for a 25 yard touchdown to make it 17-14.
Temple would again extend its lead to a dime when junior running back Matt Brown rushed one into the end zone early in the fourth quarter. Miami (Ohio) gave the the hometown crowd a scare when Dysert connected to Nick Harwell for a late touchdown, but the Owls were able to get the ball back and run out the clock.
With the win, Temple improves to 6-4 (4-3 MAC) and moves into second place in the Mid-American standings behind the Ohio Bobcats.

The Temple Owls are playing host to the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks tonight at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, live on ESPN.
Temple leads Miami 17-7 at halftime.
Ohio fumbled the ball in their opening drive, recovered by defensive back Kevin Kroboth. Temple was able to drive for 45 yards but had to settle for a field goal.
The Redhawks charged back on their next drive, going 90 yards across 12 plays that ended in six when Zac Dysert found Nick Harwell for the touchdown.
Mason Krysinski made it seven.
The Owls regained the lead to open the second quarter when Chris Coyer dropped one in for Deon Miller and went up 17-7 when Adrian Robinson intercepted a pass from Dysert to set up Chris Coyer’s nine yard rush into the end zone.
The score could very easily be 20-7 but Brandon McManus missed a 38 yard field goal earlier in the quarter.
