The Saint Joseph Hawks moved to 7-3 on the season and 4-0 at home as they handed the 17 ranked Creighton Bluejays their first loss of the season, by a final of 80-71.

Hawks guard, Carl Jones played a great game. He finished with 29 points on only 17 shots, and also recorded five assists, five rebounds and three steals. The only blemish on his stat-line is the seven turnovers he committed.

At 7-3 the Hawks find themselves in the middle of the pack of the Atlantic 10 Standings, with conference play beginning after the first of the year. Xaiver sits atop the conference with what is about to be an 8-0 record – ranked eighth in the country.
