Matt McGloin Injury Update: Penn State QB Questionable For 2012 Ticket City Bowl

Penn State Nittany Lions quarterback Matthew McGloin did not practice on Monday. He is currently questionable to play in the team's upcoming Ticket City Bowl appearance against the Houston Cougars on Jan 2.

McGloin was involved in a locker room scuffle with teammate Curtis Drake on Saturday. During the incident, McGloin suffered a seizure and a concussion and was briefly hospitalized. McGloin will need to pass tests before the school clears him to return to practice.

McGloin said about the incident:

"I'm willing to take full responsibility for it," McGloin said at Penn State's bowl media day on Monday. ""I started it but as a quarterback for this universtiy I should be held to a higher standard. It should not have happened. I should've walked away from it. It was just two guys who are emotional about the game who got into an argument." (via USA Today)

Penn State interim head coach Tom Bradley will not make a decision on a starting quarterback until the bowl game itself. Rob Bolden started the first seven games of the season but McGloin saw most of the action under center in the final three games after the two split snaps in between those games.
