Penn Vs. Marist First Half Score: Quakers Lead 38-36

The Penn Quakers lead the Marist Red Foxes 38-36 at halftime from The Palestra.

Penn started the contest on a 7-0 run through the first three minutes. Marist took their first lead with an 8-0 run. The Red Foxes' biggest lead of the first half would be six points. Each time Marist threatened to extend the lead further, Penn hit a shot. The Quakers regained the lead, 36-34, on a Tyler Bernardini three-pointer with 1:18 to play. Marist responded with a two-point basket with 49 seconds left in the first half. The Quakers took a lead into halftime on two Miles Cartwright free throws.

Freshman Isaiah Morton led Marist in scoring with 11 points on 4-6 shooting (3-4 from behind the arc) in the first half. Tyler Bernardini and Zach Rosen led Penn. Bernardini had 12 points, 2 rebounds and a steal in the first half. Rosen had 7 points, 3 steals and a steal.
