In their first game after the holiday break, St. Joseph’s Hawks must have taken it easy on the holiday buffet. They had little trouble taking down the Morgan State Bears by a final score of 81-50. It was the fifth straight win for the Hawks.

They took a 44-26 lead into half time and never looked back. Guard Carl Jones led the scoring for the Hawks with a total of 16 points. He hit three of seven three point shots on the night. Langston Galloway had 14 points, seven rebounds, two blocked shots and a steal for the top overall performance in the game.

The win puts St. Joe’s at 10-3, and tied with Massachusetts for second place in the Atlantic 10 conference. The Hawks are 7-0 on their home court. Their next game is Dec. 31, against the 23rd ranked Harvard Crimson. It’s only the second time this season facing a ranked opponent. They beat the 17th ranked Creighton Bluejays on Dec. 10.
