The NCAA dunk contest (yes such a thing exists) was held last night and featured the unlikeliest of winners. If you looked at the field, you might have thought the 5'11 white kid from division-III Illinois college was there by mistake. Of course, that would have been before you saw Jacob Tucker dunk. The 5'11 kid has a 50 inch vertical.
↵The winning dunk, which was scored a 49, saw him leap clean over his 5'11 teammate, picking the ball out of his hands and finishing with a reverse slam. He talked afterwards about going up against much bigger guys from much bigger schools.
↵"It's unbelievable, just because a lot of these other guys here are D-I players. They're used to being on the national stage, and this dunk contest, to their schools, didn't necessarily mean as much. To be able to represent my school on a national stage is a real honor."
