One of the nation's most long-standing college basketball rivalries continues Monday night, when the Penn Quakers host the Princeton Tigers at the Palestra at 7 p.m. in the 225th meeting between the Ivy League schools.
The Quakers have a three-game winning streak, including a surprising 84-80 victory against St. Joe's in the Palestra on Saturday. Paced by Tyler Bernardini's 24 points, Penn built a 23-point lead in the second half against St. Joe's before holding off a strong surge from the Hawks.
Princeton began the season a disappointing 1-5, but has rebounded nicely by winning nine of their last 12 games. The Tigers split road tilts against Cornell and Columbia to open Ivy League play, besting Columbia 62-58 a couple Saturdays ago before having more than two weeks off.
Penn leads the series 122-102, but Princeton has won the last five matchups.
