The last time the Chicago Blackhawks visited Philadelphia, they left with the 2010 Stanley Cup Trophy. The stakes will not be so high on Thursday night, but the Blackhawks return to Philadelphia for a meeting with the Flyers at 7 p.m.
The Flyers have lost three of their past four games, including a 3-2 loss to the New York Rangers in the Winter Classic on Monday. Brayden Schenn and Claude Giroux scored goals within two minutes of each other to seize a 2-1 lead in the second quarter, but the Rangers answered with two third-period tallies and Danny Briere was stoned by Henrik Lundqvist on a penalty shot with 29.6 seconds remaining.
Chicago has lost two of three, including a 4-3 decision against Edmonton on Monday. The Blackhawks, led by Marian Hossa's 41 points, lead the Central Division with 52 points.
