Villanova Vs. DePaul Score: Wildcats Lead Blue Demons, 48-36, At Halftime

Behind 13 points from junior guard Maalik Wayns and a late 12-2 run, the Villanova Wildcats have a 48-36 halftime lead on the DePaul Blue Demons in a Big East Conference game at The Pavilion. DePaul's sophomore guard Brandon Young has a game-best 15 points.

The Wildcats (7-, 0-3 Big East) used five of Mouphtaou Yarou's nine points to jump out to an early 10-0 advantage. However, despite having their first basket come almost five minutes into the contest, the Blue Demons (10-4, 1-1) trimmed 'Nova lead to just one point with 10:11 remaining.

A 12-2 run near the end of the second half helped the Wildcats take a 12-point advantage into the locker room.

Junior guard Dominic Cheeks has netted 11 points for the Wildcats.
