The Philadelphia Phillies will head to Washington to play their final series of the 2012 season against the Washington Nationals
The Philadelphia Phillies will enter their final series of the 2012 season by heading to Washington and playing a three-game series against the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park.
While the team is mathematically eliminated from making the playoffs through the division or one of the two Wild Card spots, the Phillies will be playing to finish the season with a winning percentage of .500 or better.
The Phillies, who will enter the series one game above .500, have not finished with a winning percentage below .500 since the 2002 season. The team will need to take at least one of the three games to extend that streak.
The first game of the set is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch from Nationals Park. Kyle Kendrick will take the ball for the Phillies and he'll be opposed by John Lannan. Television coverage will be provided by CSN while 1210 WPHT and 94 WIP will provide the radio coverage.
