Temple heads to Pittsburgh to take on the Panthers in a key Big East showdown.
The Temple Owls, a somewhat surprising contender in early Big East conference play, travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Pittsburgh Panthers in a key conference game at Heinz Field.
The Panthers have stumbled in early Big East play, dropping their first three Big East contests, standing 3.5 games out of the conference-leading Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Temple has collected two early victories against the South Florida Bulls and Connecticut Huskies in their first season as return members of the conference.
The Owls dropped their first Big East game of the year to Rutgers last weekend, as running back Montel Harris' 81 yards and quarterback Chris Coyer's touchdown toss were not enough to hang with the undefeated Scarlet Knights.
Pittsburgh is coming off a non-Big East victory against the Buffalo Bulls in which running back Ray Graham rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown in the 20-6 victory.
Time and Date: Oct. 27, 12 p.m. ET
Location: Heinz Field, Pittsburgh.
TV: Big East Network
Odds: PIttsburgh is favored by a touchdown.
