Flyers center Daniel Briére could become the team's fifth player to sign a contract overseas due to the ongoing NHL lockout.
Philadelphia Flyers center Daniel Briére is moving closer to a deal to play in Europe.
Briére told CSNPhilly.com Wednesday night that he has "a few options" to play overseas, with the potential to announce his decision on where he'll be playing by Thursday.
If Briére commits to play overseas, he would be the fifth Flyer to make the temporary move, joining Ilya Bryzgalov, Ruslan Fedotenko, Jakub Voracek and Wayne Simmonds.
