The top four teams in the coaches poll stayed stagnant despite some near-losses on Saturday.
The Alabama Crimson Tide remained unanimous No. 1 in the Coaches Poll after a comeback victory on the road against the No. 9 LSU Tigers. The other top undefeated team's remained in their spots as well, making the poll look fairly similar to last week's poll.
The No. 2 Oregon Ducks and No. 3 Kansas St. Wildcats stayed in their previous week's spots following victories over ranked opponents, while No. 4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish is still in the fourth spot despite an upset scare at home against the Pittsburgh Panthers. The No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs jumped up one spot to round out the top five.
The No. 6 Florida St. Seminoles, No. 7 Florida Gators and No. 8 Clemson Tigers all jumped up one position in the polls, while LSU fell four spots following their loss. The undefeated No. 10 Louisville Cardinals round out the top ten.
Previously ranked UCLA Bruins and Texas Longhorns return to the rankings after being unranked last week, while the Toledo Rockets are ranked for the first time this season. The Big XII teams fell out of the rankings: the West Virginia Mountaineers, the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Oklahoma St. Cowboys.
