Former Phillie Raul Ibanez has signed with the New York Yankees to be a designated hitter. The deal is for one year and reportedly worth a little over a million, but could go higher with incentives.
Raul Ibanez will always hold a fairly special distinction, at least for me, in Philly sports history. He is one of the very few guys who left here with no one expecting him or really even wanting him back… yet also still be quite well liked. It’s a testament to what a genuinely good guy Raul is.
