Drexel Vs Old Dominion: Dragons Go For 16th Straight Win

Drexel looks for its 17th straight win Saturday afternoon against Old Dominion.

The Drexel Dragons look to extend the second-longest winning streak in the country on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. when they visit Old Dominion in both teams' regular season finale. (ESPN U)

Drexel ran its streak to 16 games Wednesday night with a 78-61 victory against James Madison. The Dragons trailed by one at halftime, but opened the second half with an 11-1 run to put the Dukes in their rear view. Samme Givens scored 18 points and grabbed the 1,000th rebound of his career as Drexel clinched the top seed in the Colonial Athletic Association tournament.

Old Dominion has won three straight to move to 13-4 in the CAA. The Monarchs, who are paced by Frank Hassell's 15.1 points and 9.4 rebounds, ousted Georgia State 65-60 in overtime Wednesday night. Kent Bazemore pitched in 19 points and seven rebounds as Old Dominion clinched a first round bye in the CAA tournament.
