In a meeting of two of the Philadelphia area's proudest basketball programs, St. Joe's upended Temple.
The Hawks upset the 22nd ranked Owls 82-72 on Saturday night behind 22 points from Langston Galloway and 18 points off the bench from Robert Reynolds, Jr.
Both teams had four players score double digits on the evening, and Temple was paced by guards Ramone Moore and Juan Fernandez, who each finished with 15 points. Senior Micheal Eric had another productive night with 14 points and 14 rebounds.
The Hawks improve to 9-6 in Atlantic 10 conference play, and snapped Temple's 11-game winning streak in the process. The Owls remain a game ahead of St. Louis for the top seed in the Atlantic 10, and finish off the regular season with contests against Fordham and UMass.
St. Joe's will play at St. Bonaventure's on Wednesday night to conclude its regular season.
