Drexel Vs. Towson: Red Hot Dragons Go For 11th Straight Win

The Drexel Dragons look for their 11th straight win against the 1-23 Towson Tigers.

Feb 4, 2012 - The Drexel Dragons are 18-5 overall and 10-2 in conference play this season. They're playing amazing basketball as of late, winning 10 consecutive games and 16 of their last 17. They've had to remain hot, however, to keep pace with the rest of the top teams in the Colonial Conference standings. George Mason, Old Dominion and Virginia Commonwealth are all also 10-2 in the conference and tied with the Dragons atop the conference.

Tonight the Dragons will try to continue their hot streak as they travel to Towson to face the Tigers. At 1-23 overall and 1-11 in conference play the Tigers are easily the worst team in the Colonial Conference. They began the season by losing 20 consecutive games before defeating North Carolina-Wilmington for their first win on January 28.

This will be the second meeting between Drexel and Towson this year. The Tigers managed a season low 27 points against the Dragons in their first meeting, losing by a final score of 60-27.
