St. Joe's Vs. St. Louis: Hawks Seek Third Straight

St. Joe's looks to remain in the Atlantic 10 Conference hunt Wednesday night against Saint Louis.

The St. Joe's Hawks look for their third straight victory on Wednesday night against Saint Louis at 8:30 p.m. at Hagan Arena.

St. Joe's snapped La Salle's four-game winning streak on Saturday, edging the Explorers 70-66 behind Halil Kanacevic's monster night of 18 points and 15 rebounds. The Hawks led 42-33 at halftime and maintained their lead for the remainder of the contest. Carl Jones added 13 points in the victory, which pulled St. Joe's within one and a half games of first-place Temple in the Atlantic 10 Conference standings.

Saint Louis is in a four-way tie for second place in the Atlantic 10 after winning five of its last six. The Billikens have won two in a row, outlasting Dayton 58-50 on Saturday behind 16 points from Brian Conklin, 12 points from Kwamain Mitchell and a near-double double from Dwayne Evans, who registered nine points and 10 rebounds.
