Patriot League Basketball Tournament 2012: Bucknell And Lehigh Both Host Games In Semifinals

The Patriot League Tournament kicked off on Wednesday, February 28, with four quarterfinals games – every team in action. Five-seed Lafayette defeated four-seed Holy Cross. One-seed Bucknell smashed eight-seed Navy. Two-seed Lehigh beat seven-seed Colgate. And three-seed American beat six-seed Army.

The higher seed won in three of the four quarterfinal match-ups, with five-seed Lafayette over four-seed Holy Cross representing the only minor upset. The rest of the tournament's schedule is as follows:

Semifinals - Saturday, March 3

#2 American vs. #2 Lehigh 2 p.m. EST (CBS Sports)

#5 Lafayette vs. #1 Bucknell, 4:30 p.m. EST (CBS Sports Network)

The winners of the semifinals will face off in the Championship game on Wednesday, March 7. Bucknell only has two Conference losses all season – one to Lehigh – and Lehigh has already lost to American once this season, as well as Bucknell.
