Union Vs. Whitecaps Final Score: Philly, Whitecaps End In 0-0 Draw

The Philadelphia Union earned their first points of the 2012 MLS season Saturday, as they played to a scoreless draw with the Vancouver Whitecaps at PPL Park. The draw helped the Union (0-3-1) ended a three-game pointless streak, while the Whitecaps (2-0-2) still remain unbeaten and a top of the Western Conference standings.

Despite the lack of offense, there were a couple notes to take away from the Union's second-home contest of the season. First round draft pick Chandler Hoffman played 51 minutes as starter in his MLS debute, while Danny Califf set a Philly record for starts (63) and minutes played (5,614).

The Union will have a bye week before they return to action against the visiting Columbus Crew on April 14th at PPL Park (3:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network).
