76ers Vs. Bulls Final Score: Sixers Can't Stop Derrick Rose, Fall 96-91 At Home

The Philadelphia 76ers fell behind 81-68 to the Chicago Bulls with under eight minutes to go in Sunday's game at the Wells Fargo Center. The Sixers mounted a furious comeback to pull within two points with less than a minute to go. Then Derrick Rose ... well, Rose did this:

Rose beat a double team going left, and pulled up on the baseline for a running jumper off of his right hand. The shot put the Bulls up four points, and the game out of reach for the Sixers with less than 20 seconds to make up a two-possession deficit. Rose tied a season high with 35 points on the night, and added eight assists in leading Chicago to a 96-91 win.

Thaddeus Young led Philadelphia with 17 points off the bench. The Sixers also did a nice job keeping up with the physical Bulls on the boards, picking up 50 rebounds to 48 for Chicago. Young had nine boards and Elton Brand had 13 to lead the way. Philadelphia struggled from 3-point range, however, going 1-for-11 for the game. Meanwhile, Chicago went 7-for-16 from long range, including a 4-for-7 performance from Rose.

The loss was the Sixers' seventh in their last nine games. They will go visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday before closing out the weekday schedule at home against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday and the Utah Jazz on Friday.
