Matt Kuchar finished at 13-under-par after a 2-under-par round on Sunday to win the 2012 Players Championship.

Matt Kuchar won the 2012 Players Championship at the TPC at Sawgrass on Sunday.
Kuchar shot 2-under-par on Sunday and 13-under-par for the tournament. Day 1 co-leader Martin Laird finished behind Kuchar at 11-under-par as did Zach Johnson, Rickie Fowler and Ben Curtis. One-time co-leader Kevin Na sputtered on Sunday with a 4-over-par round and finished 8-under-par for the tournament.
West Chester native Jim Furyk finished the tournament at 3-under-par and tied for 25th. His best finish in the event was third in 2006. West Chester resident Sean O'Hair missed the cut after a five-over-par round on Friday put him under the cut line which was even par.

West Chester native Jim Furyk finished his round on Sunday at the 2012 Players Championship at 1-under-par. Furyk finished the tournament at 3-under-par.
For the tournament, Furyk shot 72-70-72-71. He birdied on 2 and 13 on Sunday and shot a bogey on 8. He is currently tied for 26th. Furyk finished ahead of past Players Championship winners such as Tiger Woods (1-under-par), K.J. Choi (missed cut), and tied with 2010 champ Tim Clark and 2007 champ Phil Mickelson. Furyk's best finish at the TPC at Sawgrass was third in 2006.
Matt Kuchar currently leads Martin Laird by one shot at 12-under-par for the tournament. Kuchar has played eleven holes on Sunday and Laird has played 15 holes. Kuchar is 1-under-par on the day.

The final round of the 2012 Players Championship begins Sunday morning. Westchester native Jim Furyk is paired with Tiger Woods, and the two tee off at 11:25am EST. Jimy Furyk and Tiger Woods are both tied for 34th in the 2012 Players Championship in TPC Sawgrass of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida after each shooting a 72 on Saturday.
The West Chester, PA native found himself performing well on the first and 11th hole for the second day in a row, birdying each only to struggle again on the 7th with a bogey for the second straight day. Furyk putted better than he had in the previous two rounds shaving two shots off his putting alone.
Kevin Na leads the group after avoiding any bogeys in the third round. His 69 on Saturday was good enough to put him -12 for the tournament slightly ahead of Matt Kuchar, who shot a 68 on the day.

After a hot start to his Saturday round, Rickie Fowler is now tied atop the leaderboard at the 2012 Players Championship with Kevin Na.
Fowler is shooting six-under par on the day through 13 holes to put him at minus-9. Kevin Na joined him after he birdied hole three. He is at hole four as of press time.
In golfers of local interest, Jim Furyk has remained in the middle of the pack, as he sits at minus-3 through 14 holes, as he is one-under par on the day.
Tiger Woods hasn't been able to get into contention either, as he still sits at minus-2, and is at even par through 16 holes of his third round.

The results from round two of the 2012 Players Championship are all in, and a three way tie for the lead has developed. Zach Johnson improved from his first round 70 to a 66 on Friday, while Kevin Na went the other way, from a 67 in round one to a 69 in round two. Matt Kuchar held even at 68, and that was good enough to place all three in first at 8-under.
It was a mixed day for West Chester natives, as Jim Furyk shot 2-under and is tied for 30th place at 2-under overall, while Sean O'Haire shot 5-over and did not make the cut. Standing at 30th with Furyk is Tiger Woods, who shot 68 for 4-under on the day. Rory McIlroy failed to make the cut for the third time in three years, despite entering the tournament with high hopes after last week's 2nd place ranking in the Wells Fargo Championship.

After two rounds at the 2012 Players Championship from the TPC at Sawgrass, West Chester native Jim Furyk is safely above the cut line with a 2-under-par performance. Furyk is currently two shots above the current cut line of even par after a 2-under-par 70 round on Friday. Furyk's best finish in this tournament is third in 2006. He is currently tied for 29th.
West Chester resident Sean O'Hair is still on the course and is battling to get above the cut line. Through 13 holes, O'Hair is 1-over-par for the tournament.
There is a two-way tie for first between Zach Johnson and Matt Kuchar who are both 8-under-par for the tournament. Tiger Woods, who won this event in 2001, is having a good day a 3-under-par on Friday through 14 holes and is 1-under-par for the tournament.

Sean O'Hair, resident of West Chester, will begin the second round of the 2012 Players Championship tied for 19th place. He shot a three under, 69, on Thursday and currently trails co-leaders, Martin Laird and Jonathan Byrd by five strokes.
Byrd started the day at minus four, which he's matched in 11 holes on Friday. Larid is holding steady at one under, after an impressive 65 on Thursday.
Of course, what's a PGA Tour update without Tiger Woods? Tiger's set to tee off at 1:49 Friday, but he has some work to do. At two strokes over, he's in danger of missing the cut.

Martin Laird and Ian Poulter are your co-leaders following Day 1 of the 2012 Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Florida. Both shot 7-under Thursday. Poulter could have finished with the lead, but a bogey on hole No. 7 put him level with Laird, who hit seven birdies on the day.
Pennsylvania's own Sean O'Hair finished in a 11-way tie for 17th at 3-under on the day. He was even on the front nine with three birdies and three bogeys, but finished strong with birdies on 11, 13 and 16 on the back nine.

On Thursday at the 2012 Players Championship from the TPC at Sawgrass, West Chester resident Sean O'Hair finished his round with a 3-under-par 69 (t-15h). O'Hair had six birdies and three bogies (all on the front nine) on the day. West Chester native Jim Furyk finished his day at an even par 72 (t-58th). Furyk hit birdie on 14 and bogey on 18.
The current leaders at 7-under-par are Ian Poulter and Martin Laird.
Neither O'Hair or Furyk has ever won the Players Championship. O'Hair finished tied for 19th in 2011 with a score of 7-under-par. His highest finished was 11th in the 2007 tournament when he finished 5-under-par. Last year, Furyk didn't make the cut after shooting 3-over-par after the first two days. His best finish in the tournament was tied for 3rd in 2006 when he shot 5-under-par.

After his opening round of 7-under-par 65 on Thursday, Englishman Ian Poulter is leading the 2012 Players Championship from TPC Sawgrass. He is one shot ahead of the American Blake Adams for the lead.
