The 2012 French Open begins Sunday. Novak Djokovic is the top seed, but Rafael Nadal has won the tournament in six of the past seven years.
The 2012 French Open draw was released Friday morning, two days before the year's most important clay-court tournament is scheduled to begin.
Rafael Nadal has won six of the last seven French Open tournaments, including the past two, but Novak Djokovic enters as the top seed. If the seeding holds, Djokovic will meet No. 3 seed Roger Federer in the semifinal round before jousting with Nadal for the title. With a victory, Nadal would break a tie with Bjorn Borg for most French Open wins.
On the women's side, Victoria Azarenka earned the top seed and Maria Sharapova follows directly behind her. Varvara Lepchenko, who lives in Allentown, PA, opens with a first-round match against Ksenia Pervak.
