The 2012 USA Sevens Rugby Collegiate Championships will be televised on NBC and NBC Sports Network on Saturday and Sunday from PPL Park.
The 2012 USA Sevens Rugby Collegiate Championships will be televised on NBC and the NBC Sports Network on Saturday and Sunday from PPL Park.
The tournament features 16 of the nation's finest teams, including Temple and Penn State. The teams are separated into four-team pools and compete with each of the three opposing teams in their pools during round-robin play on Saturday.
The top eight teams will be placed into a championship bracket on Sunday, while the bottom eight will be placed into a challenger bracket.
NBC announced Wednesday that it will televise the two-day event. The coverage begins with live pool play matches on NBC Sports Network on Saturday from 2-4:30 p.m. ET. At 4:30, the coverage will be switched to NBC until it ends at 6 p.m.
The coverage continues Sunday when the semifinals and finals will both be televised. The semifinals will be aired on the NBC Sports Network from 2-4 p.m., while the championship will be on NBC from 4-6 p.m.
