The Wimbledon draw has been announced and play will begin on Monday, June 25.
The 2012 Wimbledon draw has been announced, and Novak Djokovic and Maria Sharapova are the No. 1 seeds. The tournament begins on Monday, June 25 and continues through July 8.
If he wants to successfully defend his 2011 title, Djokovic will have to deal with six-time champion Roger Federer on his side of the bracket. The world No. 1 won't have to deal with Rafael Nadal until the finals, should they both advance that far. Djokovic has won three of the past four major titles, but Nadal ousted him in the French Open finals.
Sharapova, who claimed the French Open to complete her career grand slam, opens against Anastasia Rodionova. Varvara Lepchenko, a resident of Allentown, PA, will meet Australia's Patricia Mayr-Achleitner in the first round.
