French Open 2012 Results, Round 4: Victoria Azarenka Upset, Novak Djokovic Advances To Quarterfinals

There was a major upset on Day 8 of the 2012 French Open when No. 1 Women's seed Victoria Azarenka fell. The No. 1 on the Men's side of the draw at Roland Garros, Novak Djokovic, survived and advanced to the Quarterfinals.

Azarenka lost to No. 15 seed Dominika Cibulkova, 6-2, 7-6(4). Djokovic outlasted Andreas Seppi, 4-6, 6-7(5), 6-3, 7-5, 6-3.

In other action on Sunday at the French Open:

No. 3 seed Roger Federer defeated David Goffin, 5-7, 7-5, 6-2, 6-4.

No. 10 seed Angelique Kerber defeated Petra Martic in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5.

Two men's matches were halted due to darkness:

No. 5 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga vs. No. 18 Stanislas Wawrinka, To Finish 6-4, 7-6(6), 3-6, 3-6, 4-2.

No. 9 Juan Martin Del Potro vs. No. 7 Tomas Berdych, To Finish 7-6(6), 1-6, 6-3.
