Andre Iguodala has earned one of the final three spots on the U.S. Olympic men's basketball team along with Blake Griffin and James Harden, sources tell ESPN. A rash of injuries opened up an opportunity for the Philadelphia 76ers forward. The trio beat out the likes of Eric Gordon, Rudy Gay and Anthony Davis, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.

An official announcement is expected later Saturday. LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Tyson Chandler and Kevin Love are expected to join Iguodala at the 2012 London Olympics.

Iguodala thrived on Team USA at the 2010 World Championships, specifically as a shut-down perimeter defender. He earned his first NBA All-Star selection last season, averaging 12.4 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game for the Sixers.
