Team USA Wrestling: Jordan Burroughs Advances To Gold Medal Match

Heading into the 2012 London Olympics, Camden's Jordan Burroughs was considered the favorite to win gold in the men's 74kg division. Now, the 24-year-old is poised to do just that as he advanced to the gold medal match Friday morning.

Burroughs didn't have much trouble during his first three matches, winning 3PO-0, 3PP-1 and 3PP-1. By winning his semifinal match, Burroughs is assured of at least a silver medal. While a silver would be nice, gold would be even better. Burroughs will face Sadegh Saeed Goudarzi from Iran in the gold medal match.

Saeed Goudarzi should provide a tough test for Burroughs. He also cruised through his first three matches winning 3PP-1, 3PP-1 and 3PO-0.

The gold medal match will begin at 2:48 p.m. ET Friday. It can be watched, via a live online stream at NBCOlympics.com.
