2012 London Olympics Medal Count: U.S. Only Country With Triple Digit Medals

With just one day remaining at the 2012 London Olympics, the United States has opened up a large lead over second place China in the medal count. The U.S. became the first country to eclipse the triple digit medal mark on Saturday, taking home eight overall.

An updated medal count list going into the final day of action is below.

  1. United States: 44 gold, 29 silver, 29 bronze (102 overall)
  2. China: 38 gold, 27 silver, 22 bronze (87 overall)
  3. Russia: 21 gold, 25 silver, 22 bronze (78 overall)
  4. Great Britain: 28 gold, 15 silver, 19 bronze (62 overall)
  5. Germany: 11 gold, 19 silver, 14 bronze (44 overall)
