Andrew Bynum Press Conference: Sixers Center Could 'Make Home' In Philadelphia

New Philadelphia 76ers Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson were introduced at the Constitution Center on Wednesday afternoon. Bynum was the second biggest piece in the Dwight Howard blockbuster trade which was finalized last week. With the Olympics now over, all the moving pieces are officially landing in their new spots and being introduced.

The most notable quote coming from Bynum's press conference was his intimation that he may make Philadelphia his home. The big man is set to become a free agent at the end of the 2012-13 season. Via @Sixers:

Of course, one of the biggest unknowns in the Dwight Howard trade market was whether or not a deal involving Bynum would lead to more than just a one-year rental. That was a risk the Sixers were willing to take. Bynum's above response to the extension issue is certainly a good place to start, and the crowd erupted with applause.

Bynum also stated that he was happy to be moving back east, indicating that it felt like he was "coming home." He talked about his brief time in Philly so far, via Sam Amick of Sports Illustrated:

"I just thought I was coming home, man. I was super excited. I thought it was time for a change, to be honest. I'm here now, and I'm loving the city. I've been here for two days, and everybody's been great to me. I had an opportunity to go to some nice restaurants and things like that, so I'm really enjoying it."

While he's been criticized for his attitude and maturity at times in LA, Wednesday was certainly an exemplary press conference in which he said all the right things.
