2012 Barclays: Vijay Singh Moves Into 2nd Place Friday

The early tee times are nearing the end of their rounds Friday at The Barclays. Vijay Singh has done the most for himself so far in Round 2, shooting 3-under through 15 holes to move to 6-under overall, one shot behind leader Padraig Harrington. Singh birded hole Nos. 1, 7 and 9, and has shot even so far through the back nine.

Bob Estes is also enjoying a hot start. He has shot up 12 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for fifth place at two shots off the lead. Estes is 3-under through with seven holes still to play, leaving him plenty of time to edge closer to the top of the leaderboard. Ricky Fowler and Justin Rose are also two shots back at 1-under on the day through 14 and 13 holes, respectively.

Unfortunately, West Chester native Jim Furyk hasn't quite been able to find a groove. He has hit five bogeys, and is currently at 2-over on the day and overall through 15 holes after starting on the back nine.

Harrington will look to put some distance between himself and the pack when he tees off of No. 10 at 12:22 p.m. ET. Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods, tied at 3-under overall, will tee off at 12:44 p.m. and 1:06 p.m., respectively.
