The Philadelphia Phillies and the Arizona Diamondbacks begin a three-game series Friday night in Philadelphia, PA. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

The Philadelphia Phillies look to rebound after Thursday night's loss to the Washington Nationals as they begin a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks Friday night at Citizens Bank Field.

Joe Blanton (8-9, 4.59 ERA) will take the mound for the Phillies, looking to continue his streak of quality starts to four games. Blanton hasn't given up more than three earned runs in his last three starts, including his last outing against the Atlanta Braves when he gave up just four hits and two earned runs in seven innings of work.

Arizona will counter with Ian Kennedy (9-8,4.20 ERA), who has won his last three starts for the surging Diamondbacks. Like Blanton, Kennedy hasn't given up more than three earned runs in his last three starts, and got the win in his last outing against the New York Mets. In his start against the Mets, Kennedy gave up seven hits and three runs in 6-1/3 innings of work.
