FedEx Cup 2012 Standings: Rory McIlroy Leads, Jim Furyk Qualifies For Tour Championship

Rory McIlroy's second win in as many weeks has him well on top of the FedEx Cup Standings, as he's won two of the three FedEx Cup Playoffs events this season heading into the 30-man field for the Tour Championship.

West Chester native Jim Furyk will be one of those participating in the Tour Championship in two weeks, as his ninth-place finish at the BMW Championship earned him 400 points, moving him up three spots to 18th place in the standings and ensuring his spot in the Tour Championship.

The Tour Championship will determine who wins the overall FedEx Cup: It's mathematically possible for any of the 30 competitors in the field to bring home the PGA's overall points title and the $10 million prize that goes with it, but only the top five competitors -- McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Nick Watney, Phil Mickelson, and Brandt Snedeker -- will be assured of an overall victory with a win at the Tour Championship.
