The Philadelphia Eagles start their 2012 campaign by taking a road trip to face the Cleveland Browns in Week 1 on Sunday.
Philadelphia didn't live up to high expectations last season, and, as Sports Illustrated's Peter King notes while making his game pick, a 33-16 Eagles' victory, the health of quarterback Michael Vick will once again be a high priority.
"Most important thing for the Eagles this week," King writes. "Keeping Mike Vick upright."
SB Nation's NFL Editor Joel Thorman sees these two teams as having vastly different goals for the season, and thinks Philadelphia will breeze to a 27-7 win:
The Eagles have Super Bowl dreams. The Browns are hoping to hit, I don't know, seven or eight wins?
Across the board, ESPN's panel of 12 experts selected the Eagles, the same for Yahoo! Sports three-man panel of Mike Silver, Jason Cole and Les Carpenter, who all went with Philadelphia to earn the Week 1 victory in Cleveland.

The Philadelphia Eagles open the regular season against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. The Eagles enter Sunday's game as 9-point favorites over the Browns. The last time these two teams met in the regular season, the Eagles beat the Browns 30-10 on Dec. 15, 2008.
The Cleveland Browns have improved personnel wise with first-round picks Trent Richardson and quarterback Brandon Weeden. Richardson has been dinged up, as have some safeties in the secondary. In addition, three defensive starters for the Browns will be out. That may not be good against the combination of Eagles' quarterback Michael Vick and running back LeSean McCoy.
The Browns may be improved, but the Eagles just have too many weapons for a team like the Browns. Expect this game to go in favor of the Eagles.
Prediction: Eagles 27, Browns 10
