DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin Miss Practice Thursday Due To Injury

Stay connected for news and updates

Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin both missed practice on Thursday due to injury, according to head coach Andy Reid.

While Maclin was not expected to practice, Jackson's injury is a new development. According to Reid, the 25-year-old is suffering from a sore hamstring but was unwilling to explain the injury further.

Maclin is still suffering from a hip injury sustained in the team's season opener against the Cleveland Browns. After receiving attention from the training staff on two separate occasions on one drive, he returned to the locker room for further treatment. Despite the discomfort, Maclin was able to return to the game and recorded game-highs in almost every receiving category.

As of Thursday morning, the Eagles have Jason Avant, Damaris Johnson and recently-signed free-agent Mardy Gilyard as the only healthy receivers on the active roster. The team signed wide receiver Jeremy Ebert to the practice squad on Thursday morning.

The Eagles will host the Baltimore Ravens (1-0) on Sunday.
