Eagles Vs Browns Inactives: Dion Lewis, Demetress Bell Out For Philly

Stay connected for news and updates

The Eagles and Browns open up their 2012 seasons today at 1pm at Browns Stadium in Cleveland.

The Eagles inactives are Riley Cooper, David Sims, Dion Lewis, Colt Anderson, Vinny Curry, Demetress Bell. Cooper & Anderson have been out all week, Dion Lewis was questionable so his absence is no a shock. Rookie Vinny Curry is just caught up in a numbers game at defensive end, where the Eagles have 5 players active. Demetress Bell is the one surprise. He was signed in the offseason as the starter to replace the injured Jason Peters… But he was passed by King Dunlap in preseason and now he’s inactive. Actually, Nate Menkin, who the Eagles signed from the Texans after final cuts, is active. So it’s quite a drop for Bell.

For the Browns, there are no real surprises. QB Thad Lewis , WR Jordan Norwood, RB Chris Ogbonnaya, CB Trevin Wade, FS Usama Young, OT Oniel Cousins, LB James-Michael Johnson.
