The final bowl games before Monday's National Championship Game will take place this weekend, with the Fiesta Bowl highlighting the action. Pitt also faces Ole Miss in the BBVA Compass Bowl.
College football's bowl season is winding down, with the final games to be played this weekend before Monday's BCS National Championship Game.
Thursday night holds perhaps the most intriguing matchup of the weekend, with Kansas State facing Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl. Both teams were once National Championship hopefuls, but had their dreams dashed by late-season losses. That game, from Glendale, Ariz., kicks off at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
After that, the action shifts to the Lone Star State where Texas A&M and Oklahoma face each other in an old Big 12 battle at the Cotton Bowl. The Sooners and Aggies play Friday night at 8 p.m. on FOX.
The lone Pennsylvania team left to play a bowl game is the Pitt Panthers. They will face Ole Miss in the BBVA Compass Bowl on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET. That game can be seen on ESPN.
On Sunday, the mid-majors take center stage, with Kent State out of the MAC and Arkansas State from the Sun Belt facing off in the GoDaddy.com bowl at 9 p.m. on ESPN.
