CSNPhilly.com: With the NHL lockout in a crucial stage, the owners presented a new offer to the NHL Players Association on Thursday night.
The NHL's newest proposal includes maximum contract lengths of six years (or seven, for a team re-signing a player), up from five years. It also would allow a variance of 10 percent on salaries, up from 5 percent. Also of note, the new offer includes $300 million in "Make Whole."
