CSNPhilly.com: Centerfield was isolated as a position that the Philadelphia Phillies were going to need to upgrade this offseason. On Thursday, they did just that by acquiring Ben Revere from the Minnesota Twins for Vance Worley and Trevor May. Jim Salisbury explains why the price tag was so high.
Phillies officials believe they had to pay the high price for Revere because they were desperate for a centerfielder. In fact, before the trade they did not have a proven everyday outfielder on their roster.
