Penn State Vs. Nebraska: Nittany Lions Trail 17-7 After Three

The Penn State Nittany Lions trailed 10-0 at halftime and 17-0 early in the third quarter, but remain in the ball-game – down only 10 – heading into the fourth and final quarter. 

Statistically Penn State has hung with Nebraska in virtually every area but the scoreboard. The total yard tally is 277-282. Penn State has 15 first downs to Nebraska's 19. Both teams have had the ball for 22 minutes and change. The biggest difference in the game is the one turnover the Nittany Lions have, compared to zero for the Cornhuskers. Penn State has also missed a field goal. 

Quarterback Matthew McGloin has completed 12 of 25 passes for 165 yards. He also has the game's only turnover. Running back Silas Redd has 54 yards on 13 carries.
