Now that the Penn State Nittany Lions have their man at head coach in Bill O'Brien, he is building his staff. During his introductory press conference, O'Brien announced that he would retain Larry Johnson as defensive line coach.
Today, the Tennessean is reporting that O'Brien has asked Tennessee Titans quality control coach Charles London to join the Penn State staff and that London accepted. London worked previously with O'Brien when he was a Duke. He will be the running backs coach for the Nittany Lions.
London said about his new job at Penn State
"Our mind-set is we know there will be challenges, but a lot of the guys that were there had nothing to do with the scandal and it is a shame the university has been tarnished in that way,'' London said Saturday. "But we are going to do our best to try and restore the name of Penn State football. I really had no reservations in going. I believe in Coach O'Brien, and that made it easy for me."
