Sixers Continue Road Trip Tonight Against Suns

The Philadelphia 76ers play their second of five straight road games to start the season Wednesday, as they visit the Phoenix Suns (9 p.m. on CSN).

After a disappointing results in their season opener the Philadelphia 76ers stay on the road in search for their first victory of the season Wednesday, as they visit the Phoenix Suns and the US Airways Center (9 p.m. on CSN). The 76ers (0-1) play the second of five road games to kick start their season, while the Suns (0-1) are hoping to avoid their first 0-2 start to a season since 1996-97.

On Monday, Philadelphia was edged at the Portland Trailblazers, 107-103, in a game that featured the 76ers trailing by as much as 15 points. However, Philadelphia rallied behind 10 straight points from guard Lou Williams to cut the Trailblazers lead to just two points with 17 second left, but in the end fell short.

Williams came off the bench to pace the 76ers in scoring with 25 points, while center Spencer Hawes nearly collected a triple-double -- 10 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists.

Meanwhile, the Suns also begin their season Monday and suffered the same fate as Philadelphia in a 85-84 loss at the New Orleans Hornets. Center Robin Lopez netted a game-best 21 points, while veteran guard Steve Nash tallied 14 points and 12 assists.
