After what Philadelphia general manager Tony DiLeo had to say Saturday, it doesn't sound like Andrew Bynum will be back anytime soon.
Philadelphia 76ers general manager Tony DiLeo made it clear Saturday that there is still no timetable for Andrew Bynum's return from his knee injuries, according to CSN Philly's Dei Lynam.
Here's what Philly's GM told the media in his impromptu press conference about Bynum's injuries which include bilateral bone bruises and "weakened cartilage" in each of his knees:
"The bottom line is Andrew is out indefinitely...We don't know when he'll be back. Only Andrew can answer that question - his body can answer that question. Basically there are no timelines."
DiLeo went on to add that the team is "looking at the big picture" in Bynum's situation so they are not in the mindset to rush his return.
As Lynam points out, Bynum has played with bone bruises in the past. In 2011, he missed the final game of the regular season with the same injury before returning for the playoffs just five days later.
The Sixers still have 70 games on their schedule but fans will surely continue to question Philadelphia's participation in the past summer's blockbuster trade as Bynum misses more and more action.
