Philadelphia 76ers guard Nick Young will not play on Tuesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a hyperextended toe.

Philadelphia 76ers guard Nick Young will miss Tuesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a hyperextended toe. This is the second game Young has missed due to the toe injury. Philly lost to the Chicago Bulls 93-88 on Saturday, Dec. 1 in the last game without Young.

In Young's first season in Philadelphia, he is averaging 9.6 points in 23.3 minutes per game. Young spent his first four and a half seasons with the Washington Wizards before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers mid-season last year. Young's best season was 2010-11 in which he averaged 17.4 points per game. He has shown some of that big scoring ability in Philadelphia, dropping 23 points against the Toronto Raptors on Nov. 20.

With Young out of the lineup, Dorell Wright and Jason Richardson will likely see an increase in minutes.

The Sixers (10-7) host the Timberwolves (7-8) at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
