Philadelphia 76ers Are 99.9% Likely To Make The Playoffs

ESPN's John Hollinger has developed a system, which based on his power rankings system, predicts how likely an NBA team is to make the playoffs. The model is based on 5000 simulations of the rest of the season and according to his model, the Sixers are very good shape.

↵

He has their likelihood of making the playoffs at 99.9%. The only teams in the NBA with better odds are the Miami Heat and Chicago Bulls, who he has at 100%.

↵

According to his system, their chances of winning the Atlantic division are 93.5%, they've got an⇥8.5% chance of getting the #1 seed in the Eastern conference, a surprising⇥18.5% chance of getting to the finals and⇥10.4% chance of winning it all.

He's projecting them to finish with a record of 44-22, which would given them the fourth best record in the NBA.
