Tony Parker scored 37 points in a 100-90 San Antonio victory.
Behind 37 points and 8 assists from Tony Parker, the San Antonio Spurs cruised past the Philadelphia 76ers 100-90 on Wednesday night.
Parker shot a perfect 13-13 from the free throw line, and added 12 field goals on 24 attempts to pace the Spurs, who are in the midst of a nine game road trip while their arena is occupied by the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.
Lou Williams came off the bench to score 22 points to lead the way for Philadelphia, while four other Sixers contributed double digit scoring efforts. Philly roared back from 83-71 down in the middle of the fourth quarter to come within five points of the visiting Spurs, but Parker proved to be too much down the stretch. His 37 points was his second best total of the season, having put up 42 in the Spurs recent win over Oklahoma City.
Philadelphia next plays host to Blake Griffin and the Clippers on Friday night.

In the latest NBA MVP Power Rankings put out by SB Nation.com's Tom Ziller, Philadelphia 76ers forward Andre Iguodala has climbed from the masses of the unranked up to 8th.
Ziller points out that Iguodala is worthy of a top ten spot despite not scoring in bunches because of his defense. Here's what he said about Igoudala this week:
Iguodala is the best wing defender in the NBA right now, edging LeBron, Luol Deng and, in my opinion, Tony Allen. Philadelphia has the league's top defense largely because 'Dala allows almost no breathing room for his cover on an almost nightly basis. That's valuable.
While playing lockdown defense for the Sixers, Iguodala also scores 12.8 points per game, pulls down 6.6 rebounds per game and dishes out 5.2 assists per game. Iguodala and the rest of the Sixers will be in action tonight against the Spurs at the Wells Fargo Center at 7 p.m.

The Philadelphia 76ers will take on the San Antonio Spurs Wednesday night at the Wells Fargo Center.
The 76ers (18-7) are on fire. They’ve won six of their previous seven games and are coming off of an impressive 95-90 win over Kobe and the Lakers. Doug Collins has to be very happy with the team’s ability to beat tough opponents. At home, Philadelphia is 13-3 and looking like a legitimate title threat.
Lou Williams had a monster game on Monday, scoring 24 points and making it happen down the stretch. Williams has put himself in the conversation as the sixth man of the year.
San Antonio (17-9) comes in as a very veteran team that's playing well. The Spurs are winners of five straight including excellent victories over Houston and Oklahoma City.
Tony Parker is leading the way with over 18 points and seven assists per game and is complimented by the ageless Tim Duncan. The Big Fundamental is still averaging 14 points and eight rebounds at the ripe old age of 35.

Sixers Vs. Clippers: Batle Of 1st Place Teams Takes Place On Friday
The 18-8 Philadelphia 76ers will host Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers tonight in a battle of two first place teams. The Sixers are fresh off a home loss to the San Antonio Spurs where Tony Parker torched them for 37 points and eight assists. The Clippers are also coming off a loss, a seven point defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Clippers are in the middle of a seven game road trip while the Sixers finish up a 15 game stretch where they played at home 13 times. The Sixers own a 13-4 home record; the Clippers are 5-5 in road games this season.
The biggest advantage for the Sixers will be the play of the two benches. Led by Louis Williams, Thaddeus Young and Evan Turner the Sixers have one of the most prolific benches in the entire league. The Clippers are second-to-last in bench scoring and just lost their second-leading bench scorer, Randy Foye, when he was inserted into the starting lineup for an injured Chauncey Billups.
